What Our Beautiful & Happy Clients Say About Us
Deep Tissue Massage
This massage style is also considered classic massage. Deep tissue massage therapy is deep pressure bodywork. It focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. The massage is beneficial in releasing chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.
A single deep tissue massage helps reduce blood pressure, stress hormone levels and heart rate, while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin. The body work improves range of motion, increases flexibility, and rehabilitates injured muscles. We do not suggest you to do this massage if you are pregnant, or have tumors, inflamed skin, or osteoporosis.
Sports Recovery Massage
Sports massage therapy can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. The massage is a good choice if you have a specific problem including a tender knee, sore muscles, and muscle injury. The therapy is a combination of massage strokes and techniques combined with flexibility and specific exercise routines geared to increase athletes’ performance capabilities.
Benefits of the sports massage include improvement of circulation, reduced muscle tension, reduced swelling, aids in lymphatic drainage, decreased muscle fatigue, aids in preventing muscular spasm, accelerated recovery from training and competition, increased flexibility and range of motion, aids in the healing of acute injuries so that they do not become a source of repetitive aggravation, and breaks down scar tissue and adhesions which lead to improper muscular function.
Swedish Massage
The most widely recognized and commonly used category of bodywork is the Swedish massage. The massage style is referred to as classic massage. One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage is to relax the entire body. It also has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.
Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. The massage significantly decreases the levels of the stress hormone cortisol, as well as arginine vasopressin-a hormone that can lead to increases in cortisol, increases in the number of lymphocytes, white blood cells that are part of the immune system, and a boost in the immune cells that may help fight colds and the flu.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping is the oldest and most globally practiced medical treatment in human history. This remarkable therapy employees negative pressure, rather than tissue compression, for superior results in the wide array of bodywork techniques. Suction cup therapy is traditional, time-honored treatment effective for many health disorders. By creating suction and negative pressure, this therapy releases rigid soft tissue, drains excess fluids and toxins, loosens adhesions, lifts connective tissue, and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.
Your lymphatic system plays an integral role in the development of cellulite. When everything is running smoothly your capillaries are delivering fresh nutrient-rich blood to the skin and the lymph is taking away waste and toxins. When things get clogged up and the blood circulation decreases, this starves and weakens the surrounding tissue and causes fluid to be retained. A decrease in lymph drainage causes the fluid that normally carry away waste to be trapped. Toxic build-up is the overriding cause of stagnant lymph.
Profound application of the negative pressure technique is in the treatment of cellulite. The upscale spa industry has a myriad of equipment to choose from to treat cellulite, and we perform many of those same functions manually, and with much less discomfort. Light pressure provides drainage, while the heavier applications can be used to stimulate circulation and loosen the connective tissues or orange peel appearance.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a variation on classic massage therapy. Heated smooth, flat river stones are placed on key points on the body. The hot stones are never rough. They are always flat and smooth. The hot stones used on the back are about the size of a large egg, only flat. The heat of the stones warm and relax the muscles, which allows the therapist to apply deeper pressure, if desired. The therapy promotes deeper muscle relaxation.
The warmth of the hot stones improves circulation and calms the nervous system. Hot Stone massage is beneficial for back pain and aches, poor circulation, arthritis, osteoarthritis, as well as stress, anxiety and tension, insomnia, and depression.
Ashiatsu Therapy
Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique that requires the therapist to use their feet instead of their hands to perform the massage. A therapist will have a person lay face down on a massage table. The therapist will use bars to balance themselves above the client. Then the therapist will use their feet to give strokes across the client’s body.
The gravity and pressure allow the therapist to provide deep, long strokes over the body. Oils, creams or lotions will be applied to the body prior to the Ashiatsu massage technique to further release the tension in muscles and to provide a more satisfying experience.
This massage style is especially good for athletes or those who prefer deep pressure massages. Ashiatsu massage offers the benefits of deep tissue massage without the discomfort of acupressure therapies.
This massage increases blood flow to muscles. More blood flow improves sore spots and speeds recovery time after skiing and tough workouts.
Without the pain from trigger point massage, you will be able to relax your mind along with your body. Tension and worry melt away during an Ashiatsu massage.
Thai Massage
Thai massage is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Ayurvedic medicine, also a holistic form of healing, plays an integral role in the practice of both Hinduism and Therevada Buddhism. The Thai version focuses on circulation and pressure points, promoting internal health as well as muscular flexibility. The body is gently arranged into four positions (face-down, face-up, side, and sitting position), which enables the masseur to perform a variety of exercises that would be otherwise unworkable.
Elbows, feet, knees, and forearms are used to execute certain strokes and manipulations, making the experience quite physical for both parties. The therapy is a form of deep stretch. Thai massage has benefits such as relaxes, reduces stress, improves circulation, increases energy, increases flexibility, improves range of motion, and centers the mind and body.
Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a great complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and increase overall wellness. The massage relieves many discomforts experienced during pregnancy, including reduced back pain, reduced joint pain, improved circulation, reduced edema, reduced muscle tension and headaches, reduced stress and anxiety, improved oxygenation of soft tissues and muscles, helps better sleep.
In addition, massage for pregnant women encourages blood and lymph circulation, lowered anxiety, decreased levels of the stress hormone norepinephrine, increased levels of the hormones serotonin and dopamine, decreased levels of cortisol, which is the body indicator of stress, an overall improvement in mood. In women who received bi-weekly massages for only five weeks, hormones such as norepinephrine and cortisol were reduced, and dopamine and serotonin levels were increased.

Some is better than none. If you are just looking for some occasional relaxation, you might be able to achieve that in one session. However, massage has its greatest benefits over time. Especially, if you are looking to address a specific condition, then it is recommended to go more frequently at first and then slowly taper down to a maintenance schedule.
We suggest to not eat just before a massage session. Let your body digest your meal first. Remember to breathe normally. Breathing helps facilitate relaxation.
Yes, but you’re not
Your massage therapist will ask you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed. Your massage therapist may perform certain assessments and testing to evaluate your condition and to see if you have any presenting complaints. It is important to list any allergies so the therapist is aware if he/she needs to use a different oil or lotion during the session.
in water, you don’t eat ritualistic mushrooms, and only a small percentage of floaters turn into proto-human monkeys.
Maybe. “Depth” is the term massage therapists use to describe how much pressure they use during the massage session. Some people prefer a lighter massage, where the strokes are flowing and gentle. Others prefer deeper work, where the muscles are checked for trigger points and tightness. Please let your therapist know if the pressure is too deep or too light.
You should undress to the level you are comfortable. Even for a full body massage, you can leave your underwear on. For the optimal benefit from the session you need to feel comfortable and relax. Your massage therapist should give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table.
You will be provided with a sheet and a blanket on the table. Once you are undressed and on the table under the drape, the therapist will only uncover the part of your body being worked on.
Make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, she/he will either move you or will ask you to move what is needed. Otherwise, change your position anytime to make yourself more comfortable. Some people relax completely during a session; others prefer to talk. Do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience a significant decrease or freedom from long-term aches and pains. Many notice an increase of energy, heightened awareness and increased productivity which can last for days. If you received a deep massage, you may be slightly sore the next day. Sometimes a hot shower or a soak in the tub can ease this soreness. Drink extra water after your massage.
You are able to receive a massage during pregnancy. Let your therapist know about any specific conditions. We offer a prenatal massage.
You should not book a massage if you have a fever, cold/flu, or contagious skin infection. There are many conditions in which the therapist may need to adapt his/her techniques (i.e. arthritis or osteoporosis) or avoid an area completely (i.e. cuts or burns). With some conditions it is a good idea to get an approval from your physician before you receive massage (cancer, certain heart conditions). This doesn’t mean you can’t get a massage.
